Rear Lens

I have been told that the later rear light lens can be fitted to an earlier model, however I only have 3 lamps on my rear lights whereas the later type has 4, Am I missing a simple trick here?

It's not the lense you can fit, you have to fit the whole lamps. There's a guide on here at the top on the left hand side-
