Trailing Arm Shaft Internal Id

Recommended Posts

joe1joe

I am rebuilding my rear beam (309 gti) and i will be using 23mm torsion bars and 25mm arb.

I have measured the internal dimension of the trailing arm shafts to be 30.85mm (new genuine items)

Now the question is will the trailing arm shafts happily except a 30mm arb at a later date if i decide to, or will a larger arb to traling arm shaft clearance be needed?

I doubt very much you will ever need to use a 30mm antiroll bar

Well i thought it would be best to build the beam to give me the option to run a 30mm arb later on .... It Wouldnt cost me anything!

That should be fine joe, we usually bore them out to 31mm so your not far off that.
