Alternator/battery Fault?

Unsure if i have an alternator fault or my battery is fuberd on my astra van. I noticed a slight judder/misfire once or twice yesterday driving home, drove to work today, got in it to come home and it was very lazy to turn over but did run, drove home and it wouldnt rev and juddered, turned it off and now it wont start!!

Check voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running - should be somewhere around 14v.

 

Given that generally the electrics run off the alternator charge once the engine is running, my guess would be that the alternator has failed and isn't charging and thus the battery charge is dropping and giving you the issues you're seeing

Checked the battery, read 12v when not running and 10v when running, changed the battery and the same thing, so new alternator time! Typical
