Ideally we all need two 205s one to keep standard and one to modify the tits off it. Lately Im very fond of a well maintained standard I forgot how great they are after owning a few butchered examples.

 

Ideally you need 3. A standard 1.6, a standard 1.9 and a Toy

I wouldn't worry about it being worth more as standard, I don't think 20 year old french hatchbacks are that great an investment!

 

You must have bought it for fun so stick the GTi6 in it, you won't get out dragged by turbo diesels then

 

If you don't like it swap it back.
