Well, it's all available on the internet

http://www.jenvey.co.uk/home/throttle-body-kits/jenvey-dynamics/peugeot-citroen-2-0-sf-taper-throttle-body-kit-ckpg02

£1000 + vat

Then you'll need an ECU - £600 + vat

and a few more bits and pieces and £350 for mapping.

You're looking at over £2k........ but there are so many more advantages to these than carbs.

I chose new carbs when I bought mine. You have to know that these carbs (made in spain weber dcoe's) are not the best quality, so it's very recommended to take them apart and correct the machining problems inside.

Still, if you have enough money, choose the throttle body route.

Bodies x10 - but have a look at bike bodies for a cheaper solution to the big brand names.

I would think Keihin being a subsidiary of Honda is a MuCh larger name than Jenvey ;)

sounds like you want carbs imo , all the questions your asking are about carbs . totally cool , as its a lot cheaper route to go down . theres good performance gains to be had and the they make a nice noise . just a bit primative nowadays .

not sure about bike carbs to be honest , so cant really comment , but most rolling road carb specialists keep weber parts ( jets , chokes ) on the shelf which is always handy when setting your car up .

I run weber 45's on my 8v and i love them .

I had twin 45 carbs fitted by Skip Brown a few years ago and to be honest the do sound great but you really do need to keep on top with the fettling and tuning of them to keep the car running in tip top condition. Then there's the coughing and spluttering and bogging down at times which can be frustrating. My engine tuner has told me that the way to go (if i want to remain with carbs)is some form of stand alone ignition system which all in you'd be looking at around £1000!!To me then you start considering stripping off the carbs and going down the TB route. Carbs are old school and have their place in motorsport but i think in the future i'll be considering TB's.

There's shedloads of similar topics covering this already.

Put simply, carbs are not cheaper in the long run. Take it from someone that knows, having had numerous 8 and 16v's on carbs and bodies, don't bother trying to run carbs without mappable ignition, waste of time IMO.

Bodies can be done cheaper than said. An Emerald/Jenvey kit's around £1680RRP, + Loom + mapping, could be done for around £2k if you're clever.

Helpful? May be a slight bit of useful, but mostly about some cheb who thinks he has 213bhp from a std '6 on Carbs with a dizzy converter.

I just wasted 2 minutes of my life... <_<

are dizzy adaptors really that bad ? im reading all sorts of horrors , my plan is to use one on my Mi with 45's , surely i should see a small gain ? Its only a track car so low down tractability isnt to much of an issue , and i dont expect decent mpg .
