The advance curve on an 8v dizzy isn't best suited to an Mi16 anyway, so whether it's worn outside of factory spec is arguably a moot point anyway.

 

It's six of one and half a dozen of the other - they do work as such and will run with a set of twin 45's just fine, as many users on here are using, but it will never be as good as a something properly mapped to suit the engine in question throughout the load and speed sites

iv gota look at a set of 45s from a guy just down raod from me and there a good price so looks like im goin down the carb route,gona look into some engine management now :)

iv got my self i nice set of weber 45s now could any one advice me on best management to get,is a omex 200 the kinda thing i need? also i live on the isle of wight is the anygood tunners down in hampshire that would set it all up for me

I'm running weber 40's on my rallycar and just got my standard dizzy recurved with H&H Solutions instead of mapped ignition and it runs great, idles and pulls really well but like others have mentioned they can get boggy low down so hairpins etc I could be in 2nd gear but select 1st to keep the revs up and prevent it bogging but overall an excellent upgrade BUT my aim is to ultimately get throttle bodies.
