Behold - Heated Mirror Upgrade!

Recommended Posts

Henry Yorke

There's a spare terminal on the fusebox that would have been the power feed for the factory-fitted heated mirrors.

But surely then it would have no switch to turn it on or off?? Link it into the rear window switch and you have an on off point...

I assume the spare terminal on the fuse board is already linked up to this switch as the factory heated mirrors would be (like on a Gentry)

The terminal on the fusebox is powered by the heated window relay just the same as the heated window. You just plug your wiring in and you get a fused, relay-controlled circuit, powered by the heated window switch without having to cut into any existing wiring.

Excellent stuff!!

Ordered my set earlier, sounds like it should be, within reason, an incredibly useful yet reasonably easy mod!!

And, considering the use, very cheap!!

sounds ideal! any idea which terminal it is on the fuse box? and I assume a GT fuse box should be the same as a GTi one?
