Peugeot 205 Gti Problems

Hi i have just bought a peugeot 205 gti and have come across a few problems, the first been that when setting off in first gear it tends to need to be reved a bit and tends to kangeroo alot also it judders when driving around town up untill you reach about 40mph and then seems ok, any ides on the problems as its a bit anoying really.Thanks

Sound like a normal 205!

 

There could be various causes, check the air flow meter, timing etc.

 

What year and engine size is it?

Hi its a 1.6 gti 1989 do you think the kangerooing could be possibly a worn clutch or badly adjusted.Thanks

More a case of where to start,

Plugs and leads

Rotor arm and cap

Fuel filter

Ignition timing

Throttle position sensor set up properly

Theres loads to check just got to work through it all
