Converting A Rhd Headlight Pattern To Lhd One

Recommended Posts

feb

It's not a 205 but someone with imagination or experience might be able to help, I need some ideas.

I am trying to find out if there is a way to convert the Z pattern of the headlight from RHD to LHD.

My friend has done this in his Honda S2000 as there is a metal block in front of the HID bulb which he filed it, effectively mirroring it on the y-axis.

I have an old headlight that I took apart and have removed the metal block that sits in front of the bulb but I have no idea what creates the Z pattern.

Is it the metal block that sits in front of the bulb or/and a combination of the mirror/lens itself?

The left hand side of the metal block has a slot/gap whereas the right hand side of it almost straight. Is that what creates the Z pattern?

I am thinking of filing all around it to make it uniform and then reshape the right hand side of it to create the gap.

Would this work?

Cheers!
