New Distributor Signal Cable?

Recommended Posts

Hi there

H&H have refurbed my dizzy, but sent back the original signal wire which attaches to the side. Its looking pretty frayed at both ends where it meets the body and plug, does anyone know where I can source a new one?

Ive had a quick look on service box but cant see anything, and I dont know where to start with a bosch supplier etc

Cheers

Craig

Thanks for the part number. Is a similar part likely to have been fitted to any similar era cars to the gti? I know a few other bmws etc had a very similar bosch management in the early 90s. I might go for a quick run to a local scrappy tomorrow

I bought one from Citroen in 2009, it was a fortune.. (about 40GBP, 5911.32 part number(Citroen)). It's NFP now.. as well as the vacuum device on it (5952.94) which I also bough that time.

No idea, if you can buy it elsewhere.

edit.: oops, sorry I told part numbers for 059 distributor and I see yours is 066. Not sure though if there is any difference in that cable.

my not be much help but when i had my dizzy refurbed by h+h they replaced the lead/sensor with another modded to fit. they may have done it as i reported the lead was a problem before the refurb. so maybe they can help you.

When I had mine refurbed (cant remember by who) they replaced the signal lead for me too. Either that or they managed to clean mine up amazingly. Sorry not much help but it does mean they are out there.
