Improvements

Hi people I’m new here and I am after some advice /help to improve my engine.

So far I have a ew10j4s with:

45mm dcoe jenveys, jenvey manifold, 30mm trumpets

DTA s60 ecu

Internally standard engine

Standard exhaust manifold and system

dyno graph

I would like to improve this a bit but don’t want any internal changes yet. My thoughts new inlet manifold + longer trumpets, lightened flywheel, new exhaust system/manifold. I have removed the exhaust manifold and found the down pipe is only 2” i.d and the rest of the system is 2.25” should I change the down pipe to match? Also I have found that the exhaust manifold has had the flange welded on from the inside, should I reweld on the outside and remove the weld from the inside? Some pics -

downpipe

exhaust manifold flange

Thanks steve

a better inlet manifold would be a good place to start, lightened flywheel wont give you any more power.

cat and manifold look standard, is it still in a 206?

Ye its in a 206 do you think a 2.5 i.d down pipe will help?

worth a try, though I doubt you'd see massive gains, IIRC the Longman 190 based on the 138 made 5bhp more with their full system.
