Rear Spoiler Standard ?

Hi alll,

 

Do all 205 gti's come with rear spoiler as standard equipment ? white 1.6 gti on pistonheads for £4995 doesn't appear to have rear spoiler. It says early phase 1 on a 'b' plate ???

Yes but they are different & glued to the rear screen on a phase 1 so not as clearly seen from pictures.

 

They changed to the later style at the top of the tailgate during 1988.

Phase 1 rear spoiler looks like this, and as far as I'm aware was on even the earliest Phase 1's:

 

 

The one on Pistonheads clearly doesn't have one, so I'd guess it's either been removed or the tailgate replaced with a base model one at some point in its history.

Yeah, thats a phase 1 spoiler, I'm also sure they were always fitted to the GTI.
