Leads Plugs Dizzy And Rotor

Recommended Posts

erbs

changed all the leads plugs and dizzy and rotor and all i can say what a massive difference it makes to the engine,it was running quite poorly,it revved up ok stationary but under load it would really

struggle to pick and since i changed the ecu temp sensor i noticed the old plugs starting to go the normal colour and as before it had so much carbon build up, now i changed all the plugs etc it

runs like a dream, never ceases to amaze me that some people overlook these little things so just reporting some good news on the progress of my little pug, it doesn't always have to be bad news

I've gone down the cheap motor factor alternative with the ecu coolant temp switch, and surprise surprise it has failed on me.

I'll stick with the peugeot part, I generally find you get what you pay for...

you'll get exactly the same BOSCH part from GSF as mentioned above :D

cheap motorfactor part would be a fiver not a tenner ;)

maybe gsf do the BOSCH part, but it would cost me a tenner for a round trip to get it. Local pug dealer in town had it within 18hrs. six of one, half a dozen of the other...

Hello,

Rather stupid question.... where is the best place to buy dizzy cap, leads and rotor from. I have a 1.6, and the cap has two screws, not little spring clip things. I went to gsf and the cap they had didn't have the screws and he said they didn't stock or sell that one, or the rotor arm and the leads would have to be ordered in.

Thanks for any help

I have a 1.6 & I've just given it a good service & changed the parts you've mentioned. I got my parts from Andrew Page -

Peugeot / Citroen BX Distributor cap - Part num 46120 - £14.93 +vat (thats the one thats held on with the two screws) (had it in stock!)

Peugeot / Citroen ZX Rotor arm - Part num 47410 - £3.51 +vat (had it in stock!)

Peugeot 205 / 305 Citroen BX Ignition lead set - Part num SL066 - £11.02 +vat (didn't keep these in stock so had to order them but they where there the next day)

I recently serviced my cti, and I used all GSF parts all of good quality and half of what they supplied are original makes like bendix and mann, I hear a lot about ecu temp switches did i make it run better when you replaced it?
