been looking on askmid and its not insured and on the dvla webby and not taxed, would like to know if its been written off or scrapped,

 

Anyone know how to find some information on My first 205? reg No C150 YDU

The DVLA website only states if it's taxed, tax is due or SORN. It never states if a car has been scrapped. I checked my old Mini which I know is long scrapped ten years ago and it says the tax is due.

 

Your best bet is an HPI check. I believe text check is the cheapest at the moment. Cost 6 quid last time I used it.

Correct, but if you read between the lines you can usually make a pretty accurate guess.

 

In this case, C150 YDU hasn't been taxed since August 2000 and isn't SORN'd, so realistically, it's likely gone to the great scrapyard in the sky.

have a look at the date specified on Date of liability, checked my sisters old Seat Ibiza, 13/12/2007.

 

and my old 306 DTurbo 28 10 2005.

 

they have been officially scrapped, however there's no way of knowing what's happened to C150YDU as it just says 01 08 2000
