205 Gti6 Conversion Job £££££

i have got a phase 1 205 gti in the process of a gti6 conversion but it will never seem to end my mechanic and his elecy have had it 5 months and still havnt finished it im willing to pay someone a very reasnoble price + travel expenses to complete it (inbox me for price as its £neg£) so far i have got the engine and gearbox in and some wiring is done although im not sure what all i know is theres all the dash dials to wire up still and the car is partially running so ipresume the ignition etc is all completed and by partially i mean it runs for a little thn cuts out so not alot to do really just getting it goin this has dragged on for a stupid amount of time i just want my car back and my mechanic and elecy dnt seem bothered anymore so any help would be appreciated i am located in grimsby in north east lincolnshire many thanks

TBH I dont really know of anyone around here.

 

Who where you using?

 

 

As for electrics I rate these guys, I've used them for my Impreza and service was good, whether they would take a project like yours on I cant say.

 

Plus they are into cars too, which helps somewhat.

i am using a guy my uncle recomended to me called mark robson and his elecy friend paul deaks i will give tht guy a call and see whether they'll do it thanks

Feel sorry for ya bud sounds like you have given it to people that dont realy know what they are doing. Id be tempted to go tow it away from there and just finish it yaself. You could of just got one of the guys off this forum to do you a plug and play loom for under £100 and the rest is simple. I did my conversion in 3 days start to finish with a plug and play loom. Hope you get it sorted

I've spoken to Karl about this, With Phase 1's you cannot do a plug and play loom as all the sensor wires are part of the car loom so easier if you know wiring or a pain if you do not
