I am considering getting the this kit from omex - http://www.omextechnology.co.uk/Omex%20Mi16%20TB%20Kit%20v2.3.pdf

i am just wondering if anybody has any experience with this set-up or if anyone can suggest another kit, it is fairly comprehensive witch is what is attracting me to it

any comments?

I was looking at this yesterday, everything is certainly there. If I didn't already have an Emerald ECU I'd consider it.

It's basically a set of Jenveys with all the other bits (ECU, sensors etc) you need to convert your car over to TB's.

Looks straightforward although you'll need around another £350 for a mapping session....as you can't be sure that the supplied one will suit your engine.

DTA do a similar kit one and I think Emerald do one too...... well you buy all the bits from Emerald...and you can buy half a kit from Jenvey and find the rest of the bits yourself. Miles on here can also supply the whole lot.

would you say that emerald are the best? or just a matter of opinion?

DTA, Omex, Emerald all much of a muchness really.

Different features ease of setting up etc....

The Omex kit looks really nice and a full blown kit.

As said drop me a PM,

I now use Omex as I have a fixed rate mapper 5 mins from me and used to work at Omex so knows them inside out, He works at K Tec racing (Renaults) and having seen both Emerald and Omex the omex is better as you have live mapping, Meaning when you adjust something you don't need to save it so twice as quick, only downside is on GTi6 engines they don;t run the 4 coil packs but on Mi's etc or single coil packs no problems at all

Ignore the Race spec loom, it's a universal one which doesn't fit well, Need to add Air Filters etc on there as well, the map is just good enough for a start up too, But I can do 10% the kits list price

Blow my own trumpet here, But I;ve yet to see many looms as good as mine due to having all the expensive tools etc which you will find most Tuners do not bar a pair of those pound shop crimp tools

How much?!!

Everyone does things their own way, but ignoring the silly loom and a few other bits, that's expensive.
