Recommended Posts

Any one know if is possible to lower a 205 steering, about 50mm or so. I did this once on a mini with a kit and as i find the 205 colum a tad high i wondered if there's

kits for this ?

no kits, but I have seen it done with just a few thick walled spacer tubes :)

I've lowered it around 30mm on my 309, there might be some pics in my project thread. It improved the driving position loads for me as my seats are mounted very low.

Basically I've cut the studs of the shell that the column mounts to and drllied them through 8mm. I then turned up some spacers and wahers and fitted with m8 nuts and bolts. Easy peasy.
