Thermostat Housing

I've rebuilt my engine and have a water leak, I was hopeing I'd get away with it but the hose stud that the bottom heater matrix hose connects to was very corroded and the hose damaged because of it! I put two clips on to try and get a good seal but to no avail. I'm going to get a baker BBM replacement but the best part of 200 quid for a new thermo housing is a bit too rich, has anyone got ideas on repairing the hose connection or has anyone got a good replacement?!

Just buy a S/H one, should be a few around these days, #

Or the pipe can be got out with some heat and replaced with something suitable, Finally depending on which one pipe it is and if it's not already one can be blanked off with some Tig welding
