Fuel Filter/s

Recommended Posts

Ryan

They're only plastic, designed for low-pressure systems like carbs or bikes. They can't handle the pressure of an injection system.

A lot of people use a 106 filter - it's smaller than the 205 one, and has push-on connections rather than fiddling about with banjos.

i'd just stick to the 205 filter, you don't have to change it that often so fitting a 106 filter that's supposedly easier to change (but always looks crap when fitted), you can get the banjo's the correct size to fit the pipe that matches the fuel rails.

i ran those types of filters on my gti6 engine no problems but a 205 filter would look better, or a 106 gti filter as ive changed to

I think im going to run a 205 filter to be on the safe side, and mount it on the slam panel and run some hoses to it.
