What Colour Wheels, White 1.9 Gti?

Recommended Posts

deryck3

As title really, I'm in the middle of prepping my wheels ready to be painted just wondered if there were any suggestions on colour, as its going to be used purely on track I thought white, do I go for diamond white or the same shade of white as the car, or do I go with graphite grey or black?

Or do I re-paint them silver?

Whatever you prefer, surely?

Personally, I dislike white wheels on white cars when the two paint shades are completely different - bright white wheels on the earlier, creamy shade of Alpine White for example.

Completely black wheels I'm not too keen on, as you lose all the detail on them. With a silver lip Goodwood style they work though.

Silver looks good, anthracite can look good, or if you want to be a little different, I reckon gold wheels would work against a white car.

Polish the inside of the holes, polish the lip and paint the wheel black

In my humble, often ridiculed opinion there is only one choice of wheel colour on a white car, and that is matt black with no polished lip or anything else. Just good honest matt black.

Im a fan of Matt black on white cars, mainly because my cars are Matt white so it matches in the dullness stakes,
