Hi chaps,were full body decals an option when ordering 205 gti's new, were they a dealer fit option or just an aftermarket fitment in the 80's?

Ha yeah just checking on here as I've seen the posts on britishrally.Not going to do it because mines red.Grille stripes and wing decals should be ok though

Yes they were fitted by dealers and came from Peugeot Sport. (I fitted them back in the day)

I prefer the "Works" type of decals as well. The best colour scheme on a white 205 in my opinion. If you go to watch a round of the British Historic Rally Championship, there are plenty of Escorts about in "Works" colours eg. Rothmans, Cossack, ESSO Uniflow etc, but you NEVER see a 205 in Works colours which is a real shame. Does anybody know of someone who can knock me up a set for a shell that I'm building. I've been down the Skip Brown route already but they sold the last set some years ago. However, Del did give me a section of stripe about 6 inches long to see if I could get anyone to match up the colours....
