Well. I've had my insurance renewal - nearly doubled this year!! Add to that that in recent years I've run a trade policy because i always seem to have different 205s coming and going, and this year the rules have changed and I no longer qualify for such a policy. Apparently my little 1.1 is so heavily modified (it looks like a gti) that it will cost nearly twice as much to insure as my 1.9 which i can no longer afford to run. Keep your eyes peeled for a massive for sale thread - interesting cars are now out of my price range :(

Rant over!

It was acceptable to use the policy as a "hobbyist" because I bought a few and either sold or broke them , now it's not - need to keep books, separate premises etc, etc. Fair enough really! but the prices of private policies are rediculous!!!! 1 car only from now on :-(

No just employed these days, not even in motor trade..... My garage has a separate postcode, so that part is Ok. I "may" have got away with renewing it as was....but, there's also a chance that in the event of a claim the insurance could have been voided, not worth the risk! Have decided I'm keeping the CTi and will switch the single policy when the tax runs out on the 1.1
