Oil Pressure Switch

Recommended Posts

Managed to break the connector on the oil pressure switch yesterday. need to order a new one but not sure which, local Peugeot garage are no help. It's a 1.6 8V in a phase 1 car (but later head on the block). GSF have two listed - 931PC004 (engine code XU5J) and 931PC005 (black switch pressure 0.6bar, opener thread size M16x1.5).

Can someone clarify?

meant to say it's the oil pressure sender I've broken, not the switch!

The sender is 10x1 thread, I think from memory it is the switch that is 16x1.5.

Another way to tell, usually the switch is around a tenner, the sender typically is more like £30.

Definitely the sender I'm needing. Local motorfactors are shut this week so struggling to source, any ideas for somewhere online to order (no luck with ECP or GSF)?

I snapped the spade connector off the oil pressure sender when I did my first ever Mi16 swap in about 2000/2001. Without removing it I cleaned the rivet up with sandpaper then soldered about 50mm of wire onto it with a spade connector on the end. It worked fine and is still on there ten years and three 205s later.

Found the right one on buypartsby, thanks for the Intermotor clue :)

Also sourcing a spare as with 3 205s and my ham-fisted skills I'll probably break another at some point.

£29.03 + vat so £35. Part number is the same: INT53800

I've just got to argue the ridiculous £14.95 they're charging for postage to the highlands and islands. Suspect I'll end up getting it posted to a friend in a non rip-off postcode!

Thanks, that postage is a bit extortionate.

Coud you not ask a local motor factors to try to source you the intermotor item rather than pay BPB's postage?
