DanteICE 72 Posted December 24, 2011 Question 1: How do I find out the size or measure rose joints? Question 2: Is it legal to have the rear brakes hydraulic only, as in no cable handbrake? Obviously using hydraulic handbrake. Know you lot, this shouldn't take long to get an answer. Geoff
johnnyboy666 195 1 Cars Posted December 24, 2011 question 2: Im pretty sure it used to have to be cable, or at least independant of the main hydraulic system, so if the brakes fail you have a mechanical backup. Mind you Im sure Ive seen build where people use an extra caliper on the rear discs, usually a front one, so not sure how they go about it
welshpug 1,646 Posted December 25, 2011 (edited) 1. micrometer or vernier caliper 2, nope, has to be a mechanical method, aka standard cables. Edited December 25, 2011 by welshpug
petert 578 Posted December 25, 2011 (edited) Question 1: How do I find out the size or measure rose joints? In most cases the thread diameter and hole diameter will be the same. ie an M6 rose joint will have a Ø6mm hole and either male or female M6 thread. In special cases, like GrpA wishbones, the hole diameter and thread diameter will be different. Edited December 25, 2011 by petert
