Crispy 205 Turbo

Well its happened again another 205 dead thank god my mates ok though in his words "Was coming off the motorway last night looked down and saw fire at my feet" well pictures say more than words.

 

 

 

 

Looks like the fuel pipe split and sprayed fuel onto the turbo luckily it burnt through a water pipe which put the flames out, this was going to get reshelled next year as its a bit rotten and the dimma kit has seen better days. I now need a new wiring loom so if anyone has a spare 406 sri loom drop us a pm cheers Luke.

Looks like you were quite lucky to suffer such minimal damage - glad to hear that your friend is OK too.

 

(as an aside, that fuel filter setup really doesn't look too clever!)

Hi all no theres no damage inside just a bit smokey the fuel filter was just temporary I originally thought a fuel pipe had melted but they just look a bit charred and theres a nice big split it one so guessing thats the culprit.

Lucky it didn't get to the brake fluid As said though, not too bad compared to what could have been. How did he put it out!?

It burnt through a hose so that put it out.
