Mazda 6 Diesel Ts Oil Pressure Light Flickering On

Hey,

 

Just after some advice.

 

On my Mazda 6 Diesel TS the oil pressure light is flickering on when very cold at tickover, not all the time, and sometimes only when I blip the throttle. It doesn't come on at all when all warmed up.

 

It's currently using 5w30, and is fully topped up.

 

Is this going to be a bottom end issue, or an oil issue? Im tempted to try a different oil, but don't know which to try first really.

 

Any advice much appreciated!

Diseasles require specific oil. i have seen several engine with 'normal' oil actually seize, due to wrong oil, although almost all were fords.
