Suspension Bump Stop Size?

Hello,

 

Ive got my front bump stop and gaitor kit fitted but the bump stop seems quite big???

 

Is this the correct size or should it be shorter???

 

The kit was one that was down for the 205 gti but i think its for a variet of cars!!!
