Underlay / Sound Deadening

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I need to replace the underlay in my car as the old stuff has come out in many parts,

I can not anywhere that sells 205 underlay any more, so has anyone every tried some from a more modern car which will hopefully come out in one.

I was thinking about some from maybe a 106/saxo or maybe a 206?

anybody done this?

Thank you

The main underlay from a 106 fits almost perfectly, it just needs trimming around the handbrake fitting/surround :) Its what i used to replace my ruined underlay

Ok thank you,

Ill look at getting some from a scrapy, when you say main do you mean the two halfs which would do the floorplan front and rear?

Thanks

My memory escapes me slightly, but Im pretty sure the main cabin floor is fitted with one piece of underlay in the 106. Not quite sure if that is what you mean? I cant really remember what the original 205 stuff was like!

Have a search for a thread I started a while ago on underlay, I got some from a company for about £20 and cut it to fit. Took abit of time to fit but the carpet went back down over it nice.
