Does anyone know where to buy a new SAD device ?,is there one from another car that will work?Peugeot apparently do not stock them anymore as my 92 GTI is too old you dont see many 205s round anymore he said !,my car runs fine when warm but cuts out when cold it is a right pain in the arse at junctions !

Remove your SAD & test it.

Its pretty rare they fail totally imo, the afm can cause issues with the working of the sad strangley.

I've yet to find out what the link between them is but after working on one persons GTI off here that always idled high & had bad emissions, swapping the afm for a known good one cured both issues straight away.

I got a brand new one from Peugeot Parts Specialists in Yorkshire, they're the only decent source for genuine parts that I've found.

I agree with the previous post, I would try the AFM first as changing the SAD didn't fix my cold start issues, but a replacement AFM did help.

it will mask the issue yes, most likely need to set the system up from scratch using the data in the haynes manual and quite likely need a replacement or "re-tracked" afm, it has been coevered alot on here in the past and quite recently, so have a search.

use site:forum.205gtidrivers.com in google after your search keyword :)
