Me too.

iirc for the record one of the previous buys was £106 or similar, presumably plus Vat.

No, it was including VAT and delivery of the whole lot to me (as quoted above). It took a while to negotiate the deal

I would also be interested in one.

How do you wire these in?

Is it just a case of a live, earth to the body and switch?

not quite, you need a relay or two.

Wasn't there a wiring diagram lying about?

Yeah he says to use 2 relays and 1 illuminated switch. The screen uses 30 Amps.

Any joy with a final price :) Would they do a 306 or 106 screen as a one off, in with the group buy?

For a relay? Really?

You absolutely will not get one for £106 inc VAT now, so it's best to kill that train of thought immediately! The best price we could negotiate was something like £190 once VAT had been added on and that was over 2 years ago (I think) before the VAT increase.

As for wiring you need 2 relays, one for each circuit on the screen, and some heavy duty wiring as each side takes 15A. Wire them up to a switch and Rob's your father's brother.

Oh and protect each circuit with a fuse obviously!

Unsurprisingly you again fail to read things properly.

It wasn't a train of thought, just there for the record.

Thanks for the replys,

If anyone the where abouts of a wiring diagram that would be great.

Did people from the other group buys wire the screen to a blank on the dash for the factory look? is that possible?

Oh to be a hypocrite..

Go back and read this through and note all the people saying they'd take one at £106, then kindly "wind your neck in".

I am considering a heated screen for one of mine, I was planning to trigger the relay from the rear heated screen switch, so that the one switch will do both screens.

I dont think a timed relay would be a bad idea too. Stops you accidently leaving it switched on.

This is the way I'm going to do it on my road car, too.

I've had two UroGlass heated screens fitted to my Elise, both had c. 50% failure of the elements within 6 months, this makes the unheated elements mist up more than normal when switched on.

Mine is wired to a pug timed switch which provides power for around 5 mins.

The fitter said one in ten fail normally, maybe I was unlucky or both from a bad batch.

That happens with a lot of heated screens though, my Mondeo one started having wires failing after a few months.. the old OE one had about 20 elements that had failed.

Sorry guys no reply as of yet :(

As quite rightly stated earlier the £106 was a previous price from around 4 years ago so doubtful it'll still be the same.

FFS mate, why do you always see way too far into something/anything i say? Yu get yourself worked up over nothing.

Done & noted as you asked, but i can't see the relevance, most people are saying they're interested at the quoted £125+VAT, including myself, (as i already knew because i do read) so a little confused?

Hypocrite' cries the man bitching about rip-off merchants when he's asking £100 for a standard bonnet that was bought from a scrapyard for a tenner? Works both ways does it not? Be a little broader minded eh?.

Again, for the record to stand as a guide, a previous group buy was around £106, including VAT & delivery. It was a statement of fact to serve as nothing but that.

I wasn't getting at anything untoward at all! It was to serve as a guide, common sense of course says that given that was a few years ago and VAT has increased since etc etc they will be at least a bit more than this, i didn't think i'd need to point this out though, as said, it's just common sense. Why do you always think the worst of everything i say? You have to forgive people for thinking you have an inferiority complex towards me, no? Is that not fair to say?

I didn't see anyone quote what i said or say they'd be interested at that price because it isn't the case, but again you argue a moot point making yourself look silly, even with the evidence clearly in front of you. Again i have FA against you yet you continually read into everything i say, wrongly. Is this my problem? I doubt it, instead i think it's some underlying issue you have that you can't see past.

Cam, on a seperate off topic note; You have my number, you are friends with me on facebook and you know where i live. If you have a problem with me i'd ask that you take it up with me rather than bringing down the forum with your own petty childishness or vendetta. I will always discuss or explain something and it's very obvious when i mean something to seem that way, no cloak and dagger here, if i thought you were a twat, i'd say so, but not on here because it isn't the place. If not and i've somehow got the wrong end of the stick of you constantly picking at everything i say because i said it and not much more, then i apologise. But equally perhaps you should stop over-thinking crap and just try to 'just be' in harmony on here with everyone else.

Ahem.. a certain for sale advert for a £40 UJ ring any bells!?

Seriously, you either need to stop trying to pick arguments with me, or get better at it. Read my post and read the posts before it. Again. But this time remove the monkey from your arse before posting the reply.

You know, you're right.. looks like nobody was expressing interest in that price!

£106 thats a bargain.

I would say so! I bought one from the group buy that Cameron did ( after that group buy ), and they were more than that!

Edit: at £106 I may be interested in one!

I'd be interested in 1 possibly 2

At that price I want one as well.
