Not sure where other have got them from, but there is an interesting comment on that site:

"Originally made in cast Magnesium for Peugeot GpA 205 application, the wheel is still made to this day but in a cost effective cast aluminium version."

It leads me to think has anyone weighed a new wheel versus the old wheel?

I know that Baz on here is able to get hold of new SL434's through a contact of his so might be worth dropping him a PM :)

Jochem did back in 2005!! http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=52614&view=findpost&p=487571

"Speedline sl434 (pts) 8.3kg"

I now own these wheels so it saves me weighing mine! They are the "works" SL434, not the later ones

I have had both and weighed them and they are almost the same weight give or take a bit. I thought they were aluminium

It's a fair price for 'them' yes.

Again, they are ALL alloy! That website again!! ...is wrong about that amongst other things... Probably half owing to the fact that Speedline's website was too until i pointed it out & it got changed. The weight between genuine new & old is roughly the same.

Generic Speedline dealers are not offered the retrospective range as they're only batch made and supplied to those that had them re-instated, in the 434's case; Peugeot Sport Boutique. SL Corse also haven't had any 'in stock' for a while...

Make of that what you will, but it speaks volumes. Having said that, I am very lucky to be in a position to be able to obtain new genuine ones direct but there is a wait as the above will explain. That doesn't mean i will, and neither do i want a million PM's asking for prices please!! If you have to ask... -_-

Edit, tiredness = bad spelling!

I've had a few sets off them over the years, had no issues with any orders and delivery was prompt.
