Patch Rust Holes In Floor

Hi, been away from here for a while but am back on the case again.

My '86 205 was lying up for a few years with a wet floor. It now has a few holes where the rust has penetrated from inside to out. I'll probably sand blast locally prior to cutting the hole a little bigger to get some reasonable metal thickness and then weld the patch on the underside (outside) of the floor followed by welding around the hole on the inside.

I have some flat sheet from a van I cut windows into which I plan to use for the patches.

Does this sound about right ?

Sounds good but make sure your new metal is the same thickness and if its from and old panel make sure its clean be for welding !
