What Should This Link Off To?

Am mid swap over to blue pipe work but have just found something that doesn't look right...

This T section...

I thought it linked off to something but have seen that the pipes coming off it only link to each other...

Is this right??

If so, are they needed?? As I have a blue hose that looks to take its place without the T section in it??

On cars with water-oil coolers the two pipes go to the cooler. If the cooler has been removed then it's not needed.

No that's the normal air-oil cooler.

Some models had a water-cooled one mounted on the front of the gearbox, connected to the two pipes coming out of the radiator hose.

its a heat exchanger, on a 205 they are bolted to the gearbox with a remote oil filter housing pretty much directly under where the picturte is, ona 309 they are under the oil filter with longer tails from the top hose.

Some one's been lazy and either used a hose of a late car or a Automatic and just joined the ends of it, Car's from mid 'K' had them
