Rear Beam Recommendations

Hi all,my rear beam is knackered and i have bought a kit for my local garage to fit,only for them to find it is past the capability of refurbishment with this kit as the bearing in the main tube has worn away the uppermost inner surface to around half its original thickness,ovalising the tube and making the bearing a completely slack fit. Basically i feel i might as well buy a refurbed beam,but where from? I'm guessing there are several outlets so i'd appreciate any recommendations please.Cheers,Mike

There's an XS in harry bucklands scrapyard at the moment, as well as a 5 door Auto, worth getting down there taking those apart to see if the crossmember is ok, I wouldn't bother taking the whole beam

Thanks for the pointer I appreciate your trying to help.Unfortunately i never had the time or ability to visit Harry Bucklands and remove one at this time,but i managed to locate what was described as a good used one at Autofive in Manchester and they have sent it out to be with my garage today so fingers firmly crossed. Must say the chap i delt with at Autofive was very helpful and polite to deal with,and they seem very fair on price too so i was really pleased

From what i can see on their site,their prices are Peugeot dealer prices plus extra!
