Cleaning Breather Pipes

ok took off all the breathers today and they need a good clean,whats the best way to do this?

 

i managed to take apart the oil filler and gauze and used paraffin to clean this but can't use it on rubber

 

any ideas?

Carb cleaner spray is what I use or a decent solvent cleaning spray.

 

Why can't you use parrafin on the hoses?

 

Just for cleaning them it will be fine imo.

using paraffin on rubber makes them expand and go out of shape

being oil breather pipes they wont be "rubber" as such, so you'll be fine with a petroleum based substance.
