Wes 86 1 Cars Posted November 22, 2011 i had a saftey devices rear cage in my old 205 welded straight to the floor, it definatly made a difference but obviously not as much as a full cage.
matt.f 16 Posted November 24, 2011 Why on earth anyone would want a rear cage is beyond me.Have rolled in a 106 and have seen quite a few cars roll with full cages and the a pllers(coming up windscreen) squashed against the cage.Wonder how far they would have gone without a full cage!!I personally wouldn't risk it

Baz 421 Posted November 24, 2011 Of course to both the original question if fitted properly, and the above!
JRL 14 1 Cars Posted November 25, 2011 I have a safety devices roll cage in the 205 mi16 with fixed racing seats and harnesses. As I only usually drive it on the rd I decided to try it for a while with the front bars and door bars removed leaving just the rear cage for the harnesses to attach to. like a lot of people I got fed up of climbing over bars to get in and out. I had all the bars padded up but I feel safer now with the metal behind me rather than inches from my face. I dont really notice how much stiffer it has made the shell to me something like suspension set up and sold rear beam mounts will be more obvious.
harryskid 193 Posted November 25, 2011 My cage is attached to pillars ect and on my old road rally pug it was not. I can tell the difference when jacking up the car. The old road rally shell use to move around where as my stage shell is solid. !
