Cti Anti Roll Bar (Ie As Base Models)

Recommended Posts

Following kerbing the n/s wheel, the ARB was found to have been knocked sideways, so now I've freed the mountings, I need to adjust its position. The ARB tends to spring back a little when levered sideways, but I'm hoping the guide bar, once adjusted, will hold it in position.

The guide bar ends in an open loop, which is clamped to the ARB by a "C" shaped clamp. Haynes manual shows a dimension of 330.0mm from the subframe to one edge of the clamp. All well and good.

BUT! The C clamp is not welded to the ARB, there are no locating grooves....therefore the clamp can sit anywhere along that kink in the ARB. Furthermore, the other end of the guide bar ends in a closed loop, which is bolted to the subframe with a 13mm bolt...the loop is a fair bit wider than the bolt...so it follows that this measurement stated by Haynes cannot be reliable. So...has anyone come across some more reliable measurements, or what alternatives they might have used for setting the ARB position.
