Hi fella's need your help like normal

Iv got a 1.9 mi16 catcams inlet cam and wanted to fit it to 2.0 mi16 but came aross bit of a problem i think that they not changable!

my 2.0 cam has got a lobe for the camshaft sensor and a slot to run the vaccum pump on the oppsite end of the cam and the 1.9 is just plain.

which ecu are you using? as you're going 2148cc I guess not the standard one, if so then just leave that off.

on standard with superchip limiter (6900), uprated fuel pressure regulator, gti6 inlet manifold

why not the standard one? i cant afford £1500 to buy ITB and wont be running twin carbs becuase i want to get more than 20 MPG

I know it wont be using the bottom end to it full potential

so i need it to run cam sensor and my vaccum pump

You need to have a think about this, GTi6 injectors don;t run on a std ECU, the S16 ones will be wrong for the engine size and power, Even on a std engine the 6 manifold confuses the S16 ECU

If you cannot afford the rest then I'd leave it for a while

you can't just stick larger injectors in as the ecu doesn't know that you have done so.

You'll have to grind through the hardened layer before you youve got any chance of milling the Catcams inlet. They are STeel billets as opposed to the std chill cast cams.
