Fuel Pump Wont Start

Helo

I had put in my 205 a mi16 engine (xu9j4) with motronic 1.3 wiring loom. The engine run fine and everyhting it's ok. A problem it's when a car stay for more hour. A problem it's in a fuel pump. When I turn a key on position ON (Before start the engine) the fuel pump doen't start itself and the fuel pressure in sistem doesn't increase.

Then I must turn a engine for 20-30 seconds (fuel pump run when a engine it's turn) and fuel pressure increase and it come to te iniector and then the engine run. It's this normal?

I think it's normal the engine pump start itself when the key it's on position on for some second and then it's stop itself. Then the engine run immediately. It's maybe a solution a non return valve in fuel system?

Thank you

Dario

I had put a fuel pump from 405. Do you know if it contain a non return valve too?

I don't understand you question. Fuel pump work, but it start when the engine turn. If the engine non turn, the fuel pump don't start itself. It's this normal?

Thank you

Somebody know if it's somewere located this relay like it's on picture? I think it's her work to activate a fuel pump when a engine doesen't work (when it's a key turned on). I hadn't located some relay like this on my wiring.

Thank you

My motronic loom does the same as this, fuel pump only runs when the engine is turned over, but it always has enough pressure from the last time for the engine to start straight away.

Your system must be loosing pressure somewhere on the return line as this is the high pressure one isn't it? So you must have a problem with your pump or your pressure regulator?

I hope I had find a problem today. I had fit betwen fuel filter and comon rail a gauge of fuel pressure. On this gauge I have lost a fuel. I think it was this a problem of losing a preasure in pipe. I will try tomorow to start a engine.

Thank you Josh :)
