Time To Strip And Rebuild

hey foks, after having some engine issues that arent fixed yet. (wont start) and tax and mot are both out on it now , ive decided to rip it apart and start again, engine will be out and all bodykit of so i can rub it back and get the rust sorted. will do a project thread once i get started.

might need to cut the front bumper bracket as the bolts are really rusted. any comments welcome.

I was going to give you a shout a few weeks back but forgot !

 

What have you all tried to fix on the MI.

 

I've done a hell of alot to mine so know my way about them. PM if you like to save making a mess of your thread, If I can help I'll give it a go.

Please do it properly and remove the glass door handles etc, takes hardly any more time and gives a much nicer finish, saddens me when I look around a car and see the line of paint around stuff :(

dont worry all glass and handles and stuff are coming off. i was just inpatient today. graig oo7, tried alot of stuff, fuel is getting to the rail but thats as far as its going, think the injectors are knackered, i just gave up on the engine sie of things for the moment. no got a painter to doit yet, was going to send it to sos motorsport in falkirk after xmas and all that to get done, do you know someone local. ?

theres meant to be a good painter in lochgelly industrial estate next to chiz fab i believe, if your looking for a decent rear beam thats lowered already iv got one lying and loads of other bits so give us a shout if you need anything.

kl mate, im after a set of front wishbones actually, the ones i bought second hand didnt last long, i have a spare set which i would have liked to get rose jointed parts put on them but its quite dear to do. anychance u have a auto bonnet

i ive a good set of wishbones lying in the garage, not got an auto bonnet but you should try autopaint in thornton thats where i got mine from when i had my 205.

quick question, how does the rear panel come off the boot(ouside slatted one) . is it bolts or pop off no wanting to break it.

well got the windscrren out today, was coming out fine till i gave it a final push to pop out, then crack o well lol
