Passengers Cv Joint Removal

I have worn out a cv joint in less then a month on my 205 gti6 due to using a 306 gearbox and not changing the passengers side drive shaft end that goes into the gearbox, i dont want to buy the whole new shaft as i will have to change th inner end to suit my 306 dif anyway. I know i can get the cv joint as a kit but i have had a look at the cv joint on a 306 shaft tonight and it apears to be held on the shaft and wont come away from the spined shaft end.

Anyone removed one from a 1.9 gti shaft, i'm i going to come arcoss the same thing and how do you split it??

fut the 205 diff and a standard 205 shaft, win win
