Mobile Tune-Up

With the cost of petrol now, and the old girl seemingly using more of late, I'm considering having a mobile tuner coming to me at work. Any advices about them and Gti's? Thing i'm concerned about is it feels as tho' the choke or excess fuel is still "on" at full engine temperature.

You'd be better off taking it to someone that knows 205's inside out, or if you've a degree of mechanical/electrical ability, check and test things yourself as there's masses of information on here if you search about diagnosing and fixing just about anything.

Excessive fuel consumption is often down to a faulty ECU temp sensor, faulty AFM, or your driving style - the weather turning colder will tend to make economy worse too, especially if it's mostly short journeys you're doing.

First thing to do however is to accurately work out what sort of fuel economy you're actually getting - miles to a tenner or whatever is no good, especially given the hopelessness that is a typical 205 fuel gauge.
