Quick Question For Anyone Thats Had A Xu10 To Bits..

Do the main bearing caps have locating dowels? My engine doesnt have any the engine is a s16 cast iron block.

 

I know the alloy block mi16 has them, as ive just pulled the crank out of it...

The XU10J4RS engine doesn't, should be same as S16 dowel wise.

Interesting all the caps have space for the rowels but none have on my engine, not even cap 1.

 

Would the dowels from an alloy block fit?
