Air Filter Pipework

hi ive recently bought a 205 tt, for some reason there is no air filter on the car. The original pipe that went from the afm to the cylindrical air box is still there but its just hanging over the back of the engine above the manifold and turbo. Does anyone know of an air filter i can get that will fit straight onto this pipe? ive found an old k&n in the shed which im certain is off an old 205 gti i had but this doesnt seem to fit. also im not entirely happy with where the fillters situated at the moment with it sucking in hot air, which would be the better option, fit a vented bonnet, try and somehow reposition the air filter or just run a cold feed somewhere to it?
