I Need Help!

The title is a bit unfair really, as it prob isnt as bad as I have made it out to be!

I have had endless issues with my moddified 205, but ill leave these out of this thread and dump them into the project thread.

More importantly, I need some help! With my 205 CTI :)

Now the CTI is a Loverly Lovely Lurvly car to drive, however, up until last night it was dumping fuel when I was filling her. I have now sorted this (well last night) and what a tw*t it is to remove fuel tank and replace with just 1 arm/hand! job has been done though. The help/advice really comes from here on, the engine is a 1.9 cat equipt on a K plate, its got 86k on the clocks. She is f*cking chucking schmmmmoke out of the exhaust :( The engine doesnt run brilliantly and uses alot of fuel (maybe, might have been the fuel leak :D)

So, my choices are...

a ) Find a 2.0 8v turbo and fit everything into the cti but rebuild the 1.9 head and use the cti engine with 2.0 gubbings

This is what henry has done isnt it? I might need to pester him :) Have always fancied a turbo :)

b ) I have a very well worked Mi16 head with some mild ish cams, however It would need bottom end and mappable ignition for perfect gains.

Would it be feasible to fit this to a gti6 bottom end and use gti6 inlet and management? I have a 4:2:1 manifold already for this head for a 205...

c ) Fit a rebuilt GTI6 lump I have just aquired, with gti6 inlet etc...

or finally

d ) Keep it standard, with parts failing left right and centre and just fix as much as possible as and when they break on me?

I dont REALLY* need the power from the mi16 head which I have, as I will have the GTI aswell. What would you lot do? Why?

My preference would be to fit a gti6 to it, but I wanted to keep as close to standard as possible, maybe a nice gti6 transplant would work well?

Keeping within budget is essential really as my job is not something which is going to be secure for longer than 2 years now (much better than 2 months ago when we told we might lose them before christmas :o )

So take into account maybe £500-600 for the build.

*We all know we need as much power as possible at our beckon's call!
