Silly idea for the night but I cannot see quickly that is why it would not work although a little work required for it is to basically re-produce the GTi6 breathing system with a oil filler cap in the Cam Cover to ditch the external one along with another breather outlet next to the single one or even T off of it.

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work providing that you're effectively duplicating the GTi-6 / J4R setup, which it sounds like you are.

 

Certainly I know of someone that's done what you're describing on an 8v to good effect.

S16 cam cover is aluminium, so easy enough to TIG a bung in. Good idea.

Thats why I was thinking about it, May not look overally nice but much better than the remote oil filler tower, Watch this space in a few weeks
