Polishing Help (Alloy Tank)

hi i have a alloy header tank and washer bottle i wanna get them nice n shiney but not sure whats the best method to get them like mirror finish

I spend my life polishing my bbs alloys on my bmw haha. Basically get some wet and dry paper and work your way upto likes of 2500grit.Then get some metal polish (autosol, belgum alu) and it should look good. If you can get a metal polishing kit of ebay for using in a drill with the mopp even better , but as its only small by hand should be ok.

Maplins do a metal polishing kit to go on your drill. comes with 3 mops and 3 compounds. its only about £10 I have brought some metals up to a mirror shine depends on the quality of type of metal so your tank should come up lovely.

Once you have it polished properly the first time, by, i would recommend a professional, all you need do is use Autosol now and then. I did this when i have polished alloys, looked good, but too much effort for me after i decided i wanted a track car.
