Clutch Cable Types...............?

Hi all,

 

Am fitting new clutch cable on car and old one has the white plastic clip at the pedal end.

New one has a metal end that looks like it needs a clevis pin through it - will i need to get another with the plastic end because the other type won't fit?

Sounds like you've been given a BE1 (1989 and before) cable, whereas you need a BE3 (1990 onwards) cable.
