Gaz Gha With Compbrake Top Mounts

Anyone else struggling to get the nylock done up correctly on GAZ GHA's using the comprake top mounts?

I cannot seem to get the correct thread engagement. The hoel int eh top hat of the top mount has been bored out correctly, and is sitting flush.

Ive tried on the car with the suspension loaded up - both with the air gun and manually.

Dont really want to grip the coil shaft to stop it spinning.

 

Any ideas?

Is the nut the same pitch as the damper shaft?

Do you have the correct piston rods on your dampers? The standard GHA rods don't have enough thread engagement so unless you specified the rods to go with adjustable top mounts then you may well be buggered.

I purchased them directly with the top mounts, so they better fit. Ill have a closer look at the weekend.
