Ignition Barrel Wiring

Hi guys, quick question; I'm just finishing wiring my gti6 conversion in, however the wires to the ignition barrel have been chopped around at some stage. There are two white wires (what do these do out of curiosity?) and an orange and a yellow. The yellow and orange wires have been chopped and joined, the yellow i'm not sure where it goes, but the orange no longer leads anywhere with my gti6 engine wired in. Where would this normally go? I presume it would be the switched live to the starter solenoid and so needs to be wired to the starter? There's already an existing wire on the gti6 starter so would this need to be replaced/joined?
